それは英国王室御用達として
5月15日、ジャガー・ランドローバーは英国エリザベス女王の90歳祝賀祭に参加し、1500人の参加者と900頭の馬とともに、ジャガーFタイプやランドローバー・ディスカバリーなどによるデモンストレーションで女王陛下の誕生日を祝ったと発表した。その模様はこちら。
エリザベス女王の誕生日は4月21日で、祝賀祭は5月12日から15日までの4日間、ウィンザー城にて開催された。祝賀祭では音楽やダンス、歌、馬術などのパフォーマンスを毎日90分に渡って実施。その中で、Fタイプは英国連邦加盟国などの国旗を掲げ、ディスカバリーは巨大なバースデーケーキを従えてパレードを行ない、イベントに華を添えた。
ちなみにジャガー・ランドローバーと英国王室は、現女王の父であるジョージ6世から1951年に「英国王室御用達」の称号を授かって以来の縁とのことだ。
