キャデラックは1月5日、米ニューヨーク・メトロシティを対象にした新サービス「BOOK by Cadillac」をスタートさせると発表した。
シチュエーションや気分に合わせて車種が選べる
月々定額1500ドル（約17万4000円）を支払うこのサービスに加入すると、CT6やエスカレード、ATS-VやCTS-Vなど、高性能なVシリーズを含めたキャデラックの最新モデルが乗り放題に。加入者はモバイルアプリを使用して車種や配車場所を予約すれば、コンシェルジュが希望のキャデラック車を持ってきてくれる。いわばカーシェアリングのプレミアムサービス版といった趣だ。
月額1500ドルには、車両のメンテナンス費用や保険が含まれているから煩わしい手続きは不要。ドライブのシチュエーションや用途、気分に合わせて車種を選べるのも魅力的だ。なお、今後このサービスはほかの市場でも展開していく予定とのことである。
