9月9日、日産は2017年モデルの「ニッサン・ローグ」を発表した。ローグは日産が北米市場で販売しているSUVモデルで、2013年に発売された現行モデルは2代目にあたる。日本販売モデルとは、初代が日産デュアリス、2代目が日産エクストレイルと兄弟関係にある。
2017年モデルのローグは、インテリジェントクルーズコントロールと歩行者検出機能付きエマージェンシーブレーキシステムを含む最新のセーフティシールド技術をオプション設定したほか、インフォテインメントではナビゲーション・モバイルアプリを採用したNissanConnectや9スピーカーと7.0インチ・オーディオディスプレイ付きのBoseオーディオシステム、Siri Eyes Freeを搭載。また、ブラインドスポットウォーニング、車線逸脱警告および防止機能、動体検知機能付きのアラウンドビューモニターといったドライブアシスト機能も加えられている。
インテリジェントクルーズコントロールは、自動ブレーキを併用しながら設定した車間距離を維持するというもの。歩行者検出機能付きエマージェンシーブレーキシステムは人間の形状を認識するためにカメラを使用しており、歩行者との衝突を回避または軽減。NissanConnectサービスは、自動衝突通知機能、緊急通報、車両盗難時ロケーター、メンテナンスアラートなどを提供する。
これらの新装備は、兄弟関係にある日本仕様のエクストレイルにも搭載される可能性は高そう。エクストレイルの購入を検討されている方は、お急ぎでなければ様子見が吉かも？
